Very Pregnant

So last night I have another dream. I'm a little concerned as we are about to put raspberry colored paint in the nursery..I dreamed that our lil' girl coming was actually a boy. UH-OH. I hope the Dr. needs to order another ultrasound, so I can rest easy that she's really a girl.
No names still, she might be the nameless child for a while...I'm starting to get anxious about that too. Nothing seems right, so hopefully when we meet her something will strike us. In my dream last night, I was so worried about taking care of the little one. I kept waking up because I thought I fell asleep when I was nursing. And I thought the baby was starving. I can't wait till she gets here, but I must be a bit nervous about parenting. We just finished Lamaze...it was okay. But for the most part I think it just made me more nervous, I thought it was supposed to do the opposite...all those choices about pain medication and birthing positions, I'm just hoping my body kicks in and tells me what to do. The way I look at it, she's gotta come out-so whether it's 12 or 36 hours, or longer, we'll still meet her. I do want to say that if that Burning Ring of Fire we talked about in Lamaze, starts and Dave plays Johnny Cash-he might lose a few teeth! Who's idea was it to tell a 30 week along pregnant lady that she will feel a burning ring of fire when the baby crowns. Isn't that obvious-your skin is stretching, and babies have large heads!! Enough said.
Guess that's all for updates, we got the crib and started working on the trim in the nursery. Now to get carpet picked out, and finish up. I am really hoping to get to the carpet store this weekend.

Oh boy... I remember having some VERY strange dreams before Lily and Ty came home. I think it was nerves and all the anxiety that comes with the idea that you are going to be parents.

You guys are going to be wonderful parents.... I have no doubt.

I totally agree on that Ring of Fire stuff... why in the world is that necessary to even name... When you said that I could just see Davey singing some Johnny Cash....

All I can say is that with all that happened with Aiden's delivery I was already wanting to get pregnant before he was a year, so it must be an incredible experience and you will be a teriffic mom....it will all come to you, it's not like I had great role models and I have managed :D

I skipped the classes. I knew they'd make me more worried! My friend Alicia took them, and oh boy, she was a wreck! It gave her MORE things to worry about! Main thing: you want meds or not? If they have to do a C-section, it's for the best of the baby, so do it! simple enough?! dreaming when pregnant are bizzare and just get more so as you get closer to your due date! You'll be fine~ take a deep breath! My friends paid a couple hundred bucks to have the 3D ultrasound done at around 36 weeks so they could make sure they were really having a girl!
Are you going to post nursery pics? I love looking at nursery pics. I can't figure out what we're going to do for Piper... I may steal some ideas! :) I'm so excited for you!

I agree, maybe some before and after pictures of the babies room.

and you will be a great mom, you are a great daughter, sister, friend and wife. I can't imagine you will be any less the mom. And don't worry the baby will train you, and you will get the hang of it. Plus you have Davie and he is a natural too!!

I think you will be an awesome loving caring nurturing mommie. I love you and can't wait to see the baby.

you need to do some reading from the natural birth folks, who while they do not skip any details, they never made me nervous. they reassured me.

there seems to be a culture of fear and "who can tell the worst birthing story", that either wasn't there in the 80s or i just chose to avoid them all.

on a humorous note, Jim's mom was told by her own mom that i was just like having an extra large bowel movement. she thought it was a little more involved than that, after giving birth to her first one. ha ha ha

ah! let's correct my typo! "I" am not like a large bowel movement ... "it" is like a large bowel movement! :D

Oh my goodness how far along r u? I found lamaze sort of unrealistic after the fact. they say thing like just relax and breath lean back on your sweet husband and in real life youre yelling and screaming and nothing really prepares you for the pain. But like you said she will come out one way or another I took drugs but in the end they had to turn it off cause i couldnt feel anything
