Tomorrow is Grandma's Birthday, so I thought I would post a couple pics! She doesn't use the internet, so it's sort of funny to think of her image on the internet, and she doesn't even know. The top pic is her and her sisters (Nettie, Vivian-grandma, Barbara, Wanda), they are some of the most amazing people I know. I love having great aunts!
This picture is me and Grandma at Papaw's funeral, I know it's weird but in West Virginia, they take pictures at the cemetary. Grandma means a whole lot to me and she gives good advice, and lots of love. So HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANDMA VIV! You are a great grandmother.

Don't Give Up, Africa!

We have decided not to go to Kenya over Thanksgiving, because a baby is on it's way! I am a bit sad, the last two trips to Africa I've been invited on, I have been able to go. But all is well. I can't imagine being 5 months along and in Africa. The picture is of my friend's child, Grace and Pastor Peter Adigwe from Nigeria. I just thought it was cool, so I did a bit of editing, my new obsession. I often wonder what the world could be like if we all had to hold hands for a few minutes. When I was a kid and my brother and I fought, my mom would make us hug until we liked each other again. We would start out squeezing each other so tight, to see who could squeeze the tightest and "hurt" the other because we were so angry, but by the time we were finished ...we'd laughed so hard we were crying and rolling on the floor. Friends AGAIN!!! So here's to the future. Don't Give Up, I am hoping that in my lifetime, we will see more peace and grace for each other.
**Our friends are still going, and if you'd like to support them...check it out, by clicking the title of the post.**

Auntie Em

One more photo edit for today...now to laundry, dishes, and all these bills that need filed. In other words...REAL LIFE!

California Dreamin', Even though It's Not a Winter's Day!

Living in California for almost 7 months does something to you. I find myself dreaming of the beach in my sleep, and longing to go there again.
It's hard to not want to move back there, because it is such beautiful place, standing at the ocean really does something for your soul. I could use a bit of that right now.
I included this newly edited photo, which I would like to hang in our kitchen or dining room. So we'll see, what David thinks.
Oh yeah, and no haircut yet. Hopefully soon!!!

Picture Editing

It's all the rave these days, with the kids! So I thought I'd give it a whirl. It's easy and it's fun. http://www.piknic.com/ Here is my first subject: Captain America-and soon to be daddy!
